At the heart of our company ethos is customer service and this is achieved with the help of continual and extensive staff training. All our drivers either have attained a Road Passenger Transport NVQ, or take part in our annual CPC driver training courses. This means that they hold a nationally recognised qualification for their skills.
The Driver’s CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) is a government implemented qualification, in addition to their vocational driving licence. It is designed to continue a PCV License holder’s professional development which carries on throughout a professional bus, coach or lorry driver’s career.
The aims of Driver CPC are to:
• improve road safety through better qualified drivers
• develop their knowledge and skills throughout their working life
• improve the knowledge and skills of lorry, bus and coach drivers before they start driving professionally
Areas such as:
contributing to health and safety in your work environment
helping passengers with special needs
and providing professional customer care are all included.
Criminal Record Background Check or CRB
Here at Kent Coach Tours we have all our Staff full or part-time, office or workshop CRB (Criminal Record Background) Checked.
What Does This Mean…
It means that all our staff have completed a CRB check – otherwise known as a disclosure – this is a report into their background that any employer or employee can request if they are advertising or applying for a position working with children, the elderly or the vulnerable.
A CRB check will indicate if the applicant has been the subject of any criminal proceedings which may have resulted in a criminal record as a result of any criminal offence carried out against the aforementioned groups.
All our staff have received a clear CRB check, through Kent County Council and further more they have had an enhanced CRB check.
Therefore you can be assured that the professional driver you hire with your coach is suitable to be working along side children or vulnerable adults.
